EDIT 4: I'm updating this as I receive notes. :) As of now (10:33 PM Central, April 5th) there are no pony slots remaining, three non-pony, and all five accessory slots. Sending me a note is all you have to do to reserve a spot. Once you do that you can take your time deciding/telling me what you want. :)

I'm ready for a new round of commissions! Each list has five slots, and I will work on about half of the entire group at a time. The idea is to be able to clear the list frequently, allowing new commissions to be placed and the people at the end of the list don't have to wait too long.

Rough guidelines:
I price everything based on the amount of time it takes.
Ponies are usually in the $50 range for posables. More detail = more time = higher cost. Non-ponies vary dramatically.
Tiny, lower detailed things, like Kreon/doll accessories cost less, but add up when there are a lot of them, as in the case of the Seeker jet bracelet. For example, Vortex's bunny slippers took less than an hour to make, and would cost about $5. A Seeker jet bracelet would vary with the number and size of the pieces.
No more tiny ponies. I like making tiny things that aren't so detailed, though.
I can do thread jointing, but only above a certain size. If you want a thread jointed 1/12 doll scale teddy bear, I recommend ~tweebears. I can only thread joint something that's at least a few inches tall!
Payment is due when the work is complete. Up-front payment is not necessary, though in the case of original characters (OCs) I ask for $20 up front. This fee counts as part of the over all payment.
I charge actual shipping rates. I ship via USPS with Delivery Confirmation, unless you request otherwise. International shipments are made with First Class Mail International, unless you request otherwise. For international shipments I recommend adding Registered Mail, which costs $11 but provides extra protection.
Note me if you're interested!

The lists!

Pony list (Includes ponyformers)
All slots full

Non-pony list (Includes anything that isn't a pony, or a doll accessory)
3 slots available

Accessories (Tiny objects for dolls, Kreons, Lego minifigs, etc)
5 slots available

Hey there Maya! I recently started a group that is specifically for needle felted ponies, and I would absolutely love it if it you joined and maybe submitted some of your stuff there (I could do it for you so all you would have to do is approve it) which would be awesome, it would help my group grow a lot :3
:iconneedle-felt-ponies:

I was also going to ask if you would like to be my co-founder, but I see that you already admin 3 groups, which is the limit, I think. But the offer for an admin position would always be there!

Anyway, thanks for reading this, and I would love to have some of your art in the group's gallery!

This may sound like a very inane and hard to answer question, but if you could give me a little advice I would absolutely love it. You see, I've started making needle felted ponies (I've only been able to make two and a half until I can get more wool) and I'd really like to try making an armature for them because I think making them pose-able would be amazing.

My biggest question is how exactly you get the wool around the armature. I tried imagining it today, and I can't quite figure out how one would start. I know you use core wool on your ponies because it is more stiff, and I haven't worked with it before, but I have ordered some, so I don't know if it felts too much different than merino, but do you just... simply wrap it around the armature and felt it until it's stiff? Or do you maybe felt a bunch of flat-ish layers first and then wrap them around the armature? Is it very difficult to felt around wires? I'm just a beginner, and I stab myself all the time so I can imagine it would be very hard to not break a needle on the wires. One more question: does the armature help with balance? I made a Twilight Sparkle the other day with her front leg raised, and it was literally hell to get her from toppling over. I eventually had to put some little steel balls in her opposite back leg just to get her to stand up.

I realize that these are a lot of questions, and if you don't want to answer it's fine, I'm just very curious :) Thank you for taking the time to read this!

I recently made a video about putting the first bit of wool on an armature: [link]

Armatures don't add much balance, for me at least. I put steel shot in their feet if they have too much trouble, but I have yet to figure out how to make a pony that can rear. But the armature does enable you to pose them in such a way that they can balance in most poses.

As for core wool, I actually don't use it much anymore. It doesn't really affect my finished product in most cases anyway. The point of core wool is mostly to save cost, and I just buy wool that's inexpensive but soft instead.

Hope that helps. :)

That does help a whole lot, the video was very informative. I'm so sorry for asking so many questions, but I'm such a noob at this, but just one more. How did you put steel shot in the feet? I had to put two steel shot balls in Twilight's foot, but even then it didn't seem to help. I actually had to cut a hole with an exacto knife, cram them in there, and felt over it, but they aren't extremely secure :/ Plus, I think that two wasn't really heavy enough to balance her, but I think her big tail was enough to offset the weight. Do you have any special way of doing it?

I sewed a tiny pocket to hold a few shot balls, and bound it to the armature with wire. But felt is tough stuff, you don't really need to do a lot to keep the shot in place. I think making the pocket helps though. I just wish I could find a weight the same size as the shot, but more dense. Fishing weights are heavier, but they usually contain lead. :/

I don't mind answering questions, I like to help when I can! :D

Oh, um, hi. So, I've noted your commissions are closed but when they open, how much would a needleart Fluttershy be? I-if you wouldn't mind saying..
