Description

I'm not really happy with these pictures, but Luna is kind of hard to photograph. She looks more purple in pictures. :/

I'm pretty pleased with the doll over all. She poses nicely, thanks to her wire armature and notches cut in the core wool where her joints would be. You can't see the notches because of the dress fiber, but they help her legs pose.

Needle felted wool over a two strand galvanized steel wire armature. Dress fiber is hand dyed 50/50 superfine merino and Suri alpaca for the coat, and superfine merino for the cutie mark, eyes, shoes, necklace, and crown. Her hair is hand dyed Suri alpaca with angelina fibers mixed in. Her hair is firmly rooted, though not quite as firmly as usual because the locks weren't long enough to fold in half. It's still brushable, but I held it near the doll to make sure I didn't pull any out when combing. I lost my ruler (again), but she stands around 7 1/2" tall at the tips of her ears, and towers over the G4 Fluttershy in the last pic.

This was a commission, so she's not for sale.

EDIT: Ok obviously I should neither photograph nor edit photos when I'm tired. One of the panels is overlapping another. :slow: I'm too tired to fix it right now, I'll fix it tomorrow. XD Also, I did fix the bit of fuzz on the end of her wing. I probably caught the end of the wing with the brush when I was combing her hair. It's fixed now though. :)

EDIT 2: Fixed the overlapping panel, but the upper right is still a WIP image from before her extra hair and forelock were added. >.> I didn't realize that until after I had shipped her. XD
